Mr., Miss Merry Christmas named
This year's Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas campaign raised $20,232.78 for the Share Your Christmas program, which this year helped 103 families and more than 300 children with Christmas presents.

The Cassville YMCA will host Winter Break Camp for local students in January. The Winter Break Camp is Jan. 2-5, 2024, and is $60 per week for members and $100 per week or nonmembers.
City selects new trash service
This week, residents of the city of Cassville will see garbage bins with a new name, as the city has selected a new servicer among four bids submitted.

40 YEARS AGO — CONSTRUCTION STARTS WITH WEATHER BREAK: This is the floor plan of Cassville Manor, a 90-bed nursing care facility that will have construction starting as soon as weather permits. The nearly $2 million dollar project is being built here by Medical Holdings Inc. of Ft. Worth, Texas and Ft. Smith, Ark. Barry County Industrial Development revenue bonds were issued here last week to finance the project.
