A toddler was seriously injured on Friday in a vehicular incident at 5:20 p.m. on private property on Route Y, two miles north of Cassville.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2015 GMC Yukon and a 2015 Ford Expedition were parked on private property when the GMC was inadvertently shifted into gear, rolled backward over a 3-year-old female, of Cassville, and struck the Ford.

The 3-year-old suffered serious injuries and was transported by Mercy Life Line helicopter to Cox South in Springfield.

No one else was injured, and no drivers are listed on the Patrol’s report.
