Everyone has a physical birthday; a day in which one celebrates their physical birth. When one becomes a Christian, they have a spiritual birthday.

Seven of the Cassville football team’s 12 linemen are incoming sophomores this season, aiming to gain experience and carry on the Wildcats’ tradition of physical play in the trenches. Clay Weldy, Cassville football coach, said the linemen corps consists of three seniors, two juniors and seven sophomores.

Adella Jane Horner
Adella Jane Horner, age 90, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. Adella, daughter of Willie and Mabel (Webb) Gowen, was born on July 17, 1933, in Seligman. When she was born, the doctor proclaimed she was the prettiest baby he had ever seen. She was a lifetime resident of Barry County, and attended school in Washburn where she was the Salutatorian of the 1951 graduating class. Following graduation, Adella went to work in Cassville for Royle Ellis as a legal secretary.
Martin Eugene Heston
Services were held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Henry Long conducted the services.

June Evelyn Brandt, 93, of Monett, MO, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born February 26, 1930 in Exeter, MO, the first of five children born to Joe and Ethel Warren.
