Thank a Farmer week celebrated
The Barry County Farm Bureau Federation would like to thank Four State Stockyards, and the first 40 customers that came through the door for breakfast or lunch, for allowing us to put $5 towards their meal due to it being Thank a Farmer Week.
Hall to fall
Nearly two years after being destroyed by a fire, the Hall Theatre’s demolition is imminent. The city of Cassville has been in a legal battle over the building, and Owner Travis James has failed to comply with a court order to demolish the structure, allowing the city legal standing to take it down.

Lawrence and Barry County Democrats will meet on Thursday (George Washington’s Birthday) at the Angus Branch Steakhouse in Monett, located at 114 Chapel Drive in Monett. The meeting will start at 7 p.m.

Citizens for Justice social media assists in arrests
The Citizens for Justice — Barry County held its third community meeting on Feb. 1, discussing everything from neighborhood watch programs to crime trends and the upcoming sheriff election.
