The annual Kings Prairie Music Festival and Craft Show will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6, on the grounds of the historic Kings Prairie Schoolhouse, southeast of Monett.

OFO to present Young Artists Concert March 23
The Ozark Festival Orchestra, based in Monett, will continue its 45th season with its Young Artists concert at 3 p.m. on March 23 at the Monett High School Performing Arts Center.

5 make honor band
On Jan. 17, 13 Cassville band students in grades 7-8 auditioned for the Southwest Missouri Junior High District Honor Band, with five students earning a spot. The honor band performed Jan. 25 at Neosho High School, with a day of rehearsal ending with a concert.

7 Exeter students make honor bands
Seven Exeter students were selected recently to perform in Southwest Missouri District Honor Band. Biaktha Hnem was selected via audition as second-chair flute in the high school honor band, while Taylor Mattingly was selected as third-chair trumpet in the high school conference band.

23 play in Christmas Recital
A total of 23 local pianists, students of Ruth Burnside, of Purdy, performed a Christmas Recital on Dec. 8 at Countryside Christian Church in Monett.
