Another round of celebrations!
After celebrating his 100th birthday with a party, Chuck Whitcomb, of Cassville, held onto his youth for a few more turns as he drove a go kart at the Twister Alley Raceway in Butterfield on Sept. 12. Twister Alley was honoring Whitcomb for his century celebration, as well as his military service during WWII from 1943-1946 and the Air Force Civil Service from 1947-1979. Whitcomb drove the track while presenting the U.S. Flag to start the race.

The National Weather Service in Springfield has confirmed two tornadoes touched down in Barry County just before midnight on June 13.

According to Meagan Spangler, Specialist III, Regional Communications with Liberty, a planned outage has been scheduled, set to begin at 10 p.m.
