Arbor day celebrated in Exeter
The City of Exeter celebrated Arbor Day for the 29th year on April 20 in the Exeter City Park.

Exeter wins first Ozark 7 championship
The Exeter softball team walked off with a new title on April 16 — Ozark 7 Conference champion. The Lady Tigers (12-6) won their first ever conference hardware with an 8-7 home win over College Heights with McAuley Catholic.
8 injured in Exeter wreck
Eight individuals, including five juveniles, were injured on Friday in a wreck at 3:20 p.m. on Highway 76, one mile east of Exeter.

Tigers have Ozark 7 Conference title in sights
The Exeter baseball team is enjoying another successful season, on the brink of a possible fourth straight Ozark 7 championship and hoping to chase a trophy in the six-team Class 1, District 5 tournament coming up. Matt Tripp, Exeter baseball coach, said the Tigers who have two district title match appearances in the last three seasons, have played inspired ball this season, continuing to improve as the season progresses.

Putting their best hoof forward
Justin Brattin, of Exeter, used all his might to hop onto his donkey during the first of three donkey basketball games at Exeter schools on Saturday. The event, put on by the FFA Booster Club, benefitted the Exeter FFA program.

Exeter hopes to turn close losses into wins
The Exeter boys basketball team has lost eight games this season, and with half of those defeats by two possessions or less, the Tigers are focused on correcting mistakes and getting over the hump for wins in the conference slate of the season.
