Oh deer: Gun season numbers in for Missouri
More than 70,000 deer were harvested by Missouri hunters in the opening weekend of firearms season, an increase from last year but sharply lower than average totals from the previous five years.

Woman injured after striking deer
A Cassville woman was injured in a wreck at 10 p.m. Sunday on Highway M, four miles southeast of Cassville.

I went down to Roaring River State Park a couple of times last week in search of the almighty Bald Eagles said to frequent the spring area this time of year, and after a few attempts, I think I’m giving up. I’ve seen a few of America’s birds, but they are soaring so high up in the sky I can’t get any good pictures of them.
