Award-winning Wildcat Jazz Band performs at Jazz Night
The Cassville School District Jazz Bands, under the direction of Micah Boise and Kelli Pavlu, took the stage to perform at the 7th annual Jazz Night, Sweets and Treats, on Feb. 22.

Cassville girls making strides
The Cassville girls basketball team was a shade away from a .500 record this season, but how much the team has improved year-to-year is in the scorebook. Cassville Girls Basketball Coach Clayton Bagby said the Lady Wildcats (12-15, 3-3) endured a transition year and made themselves better during it.

Klewer moves to assistant principal
The Cassville Board of Education has selected Wildcat alum and current district teacher and coach, Dylan Klewer, to serve as the assistant principal and behavior interventionist for Eunice Thomas Elementary and Cassville Intermediate beginning July 1. This news comes after the current assistant principal, Caleb Wheeler, was promoted to Cassville Intermediate Principal for the 2024-2025 school year.

Wilson to retire from Sports World
Sharon Wilson, who has worked for Sports World for 25 years as the main screen printer, is retiring. Wilson has taught and trained many others and has enjoyed working with the community and making many friends along the way. She is excited to begin this next chapter.

CHS Beta Club members go to state competition
National Beta members from Cassville High School are celebrating their recent participation in the Missouri Senior Beta Convention. This is the inaugural year of Cassville Senior Beta Club, and the first competitive event for its members.

Leveling up
High school wrestlers set the goal each year to improve upon their previous season’s finish, and Cassville’s boys accomplished that goal with sequential flair at the 2024 MSHSAA State Championships. Sophomores Riley James, 150 pounds, Tristan Thompson, 157 pounds, and Colten Roark, 165 pounds, were joined by freshman Kaleb Artherton, 106 pounds at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, bringing home three medals among the group of four.
Trout stocked in Roaring River
The Roaring River Hatchery has stocked 6,000 trout for the 2,000 anglers expected to converge on Roaring River State Park Friday. Now overseeing his third Opening Day, Roaring River Hatchery Manager Brad Farwell said on Monday the river is fully stocked.

Undefeated champs!
The seventh and eighth grade Cassville Middle School boys basketball seasons came to an end after both teams played in the Big 8 West Division Tournaments.
