Jeff Fugitt: We are God’s handiwork

We read in Ephesians 2:10 that, “We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Some translations say, we are God’s “workmanship.” Others even use the word “masterpiece.” That is an amazing thought.

30 YEARS AGO: SOLVING PROBLEM OF HEAT — A pair of Exeter youngsters were about to solve the heat problem late Sunday afternoon as this photo was taken. The youths, Cosmas Trotter and Greg Parks were taking a plunge into Flat Creek from the Jefferson bridge on Route Y. The plunge meant about a 20 foot drop from the rail of the bridge into cooling waters.

Wheaton Historical Society meets

The Wheaton Historical Society held a meeting on Aug. 7, where new officers were elected and plans were made to man the pop stand, as in years before, at the Wheaton Fire Department’s annual barbecue, which is Saturday.

Randy Eugene Messbarger

Randy Eugene Messbarger, age 67, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Roaring River Health and Rehab in Cassville, Missouri surrounded by his family. He was born May 29, 1956 in Maryville, Missouri the son of Maurice and Velma (Cassel) Messbarger, who preceded him in death.
