Cassville awards bid to begin water line inventory The city of Cassville has awarded a contact to begin a pipe inventory, aiming to identify and replace any lead pipes within the city. The inventory project — which involves teamwork on federal, state and local levels — has been awarded to All Clear Pumping and Sewer, based in Centertown.

DNR public comments due March 18

Public comments on proposed permits for the land-application of sludge to over 8,400 acres of land in Barry County are due to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) by 5 p.m., Monday, March 18.

SLUDGE fund grows

State Rep. Dirk Deaton, R-Noel, and State Sen. Jill Carter, R-Granby, spoke to a group of some 100 people who attended an event to raise money for legal fees for SLUDGE, LLC, at East Newton High School, Feb. 24.

I currently serve as North Ward Alderman, during this term, I directly served on the Police Efficiency committee where we made positive changes with benefits, pay and equipment to make CPD more attractable as an employer, which drastically improved our hiring position and retention of officers. I have been an involved Alderman in council meetings, reviewing expenditures, approving budgets and reviewing action items to ensure City of Cassville is looking forward and taking a logical and common sense approach with decisions.
