Fielding a 27-strong roster of mostly newcomers, the Cassville girls soccer team has refocused its schedule and set its sights on its first Big 8 Conference title.

Cassville Speech and Debate won big at districts this year, placing second overall as a team. Cassville medaled in 18 events, and 11 of those go to state. The following students are going to state:
Elks Lodge announces contest winners

The Elks Lodge 1042 in Holiday Island, Ark., has announced that three Cassville Intermediate students have placed in the top three entries for the Grand Lodge Americanism Essay Contest. Addison Myers finished in first place, Arianna Melchor earned second place and Jaelyn Cavness placed third. Students were asked to complete an essay answering the question, “What does patriotism mean to me.”
