50 YEARS AGO: DAYLIGHT SUNDAY VIEW OF BURNED SCHOOL — This is the view that attracted hundreds of visitors throughout Sunday. The gutted 51-year-old high school building on the Washburn campus of Southwest schools. Beside the right hand wall are four autos belonging to students on a field trip to St. Louis which were completely destroyed.
