7th grade girls win Big 8 West
The seventh and eighth grade middle school girls basketball teams have completed their season, with both teams finishing strong in the Big 8 West Division Tournaments. Cassville Middle School was host to the seventh grade conference tournament. After a very close game against Seneca, the Lady Wildcats finished with a win, 21-18, making the Wildcats the Big 8 West Division Champions. Crowder enjoys Cookies with Santa
Santa entertained guests at the Cookies with Santa event at Crowder College in Cassville Thursday evening.

50 YEARS AGO: A BLIZZARD VIEW — The photo was taken Wednesday afternoon during blizzard conditions in Cassville. A one-block view is nearly obscured by the hard blowing snow that followed heavy sleet. This brave Blue Heeler is looking to spend his glory days with a loving family who can give him the attention he deserves and lots of play time. Springsteen was born in the USA and his estimated date of birth is Feb. 2, 2023. All the Haven’s pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations and microchipped.
Kyle Troutman: ’Twas on the press before Christmas
’Twas a week before Christmas, and at The Cassville Democrat, Busy hand were a’typing requests for iPads and cats. Each year we ask second- graders their wishes from Santa, And while most requests are common, some make us say, my lanta! There are 300-plus letters printed for Kringle this year, And we hope they bring parents and Santa Claus cheer.
