The Wheaton High School Class of 1973 invites family, friends, former classmates and neighbors to stop in the shade by Railroad Depot Museum, located at 311 Main St., during 65th Annual Wheaton BBQ. Plans are flexible and will be determined by those there.

Trees, limbs litter highways after 70-mph gusts
A bow echo storm created damaging wind gusts in Barry County on Friday, uprooting trees and causing road blockages and home damage, especially in the Purdy and Butterfield areas. David Compton, Barry County Emergency Management director, said most of the damage was to large, mature trees, pushed over from the root ball and covering areas of Highways 97, 148, 76 and 39.

Troutman Media LLC buys Cassville Democrat building
Troutman Media LLC, which purchased the Cassville Democrat newspaper in January, hopes to revitalize its office after purchasing the building on June 7. Kyle Troutman and Jordan Troutman, managers of Troutman Media LLC, purchased the property from Barry County Properties LLC for an undisclosed amount.
