Frost finishes 4th in high jump in Class 2
Dylan Frost capped an incredible senior season at Southwest High School by placing tied for 4th with a leap of 1.83 meters in the high jump finals at the 100th running of the Class 2 State Track and Field Championship at Jefferson City High School.
Cassville vaulters take 12th
Cassville’s pair of pole vaulters competing in the Class 3 State Track and Field Championship matched one another, both taking 12th in their respective competitions.

Two Cassville athletes will take part in the 2026 Class 3 Track and Field Championship Friday and Saturday, and both in the same event.

Two Cassville boys track and field athletes have advanced to the Class 3, Sectional 3 Meet in Buffalo on Saturday. Corbin Rhoads and Logan Parsons will both represent the Wildcats in the pole vault after placing 3rd and 4th in the Class 3, District 6 competition in Lamar. Full results from districts include:

Thinclads compete in Clever, East Newton
The Cassville boys and girls track and field teams competed in the Clever and East Newton meets last week, bringing in plenty of medals and a couple first-place finishes.

Roe snaps 6-year state qualification drought
Southwest freshman Sidney Roe has advanced to the MSHSAA Class 2 State Championship in both the mile and 2-mile Saturday, qualifying at the Class 2, Sectional 3 at Mountain Grove High School. Roe was 4th in the mile in 5:54 and 3rd in the 2-mile at 13:01.
