Teams score pair of firsts in pole vault

The Cassville boys and girls track and field teams competed in the Clever and East Newton meets last week, bringing in plenty of medals and a couple first-place finishes.

Pole vault was the event of the week, as one Wildcat and one Lady Wildcat took top honors in the event.

At Clever on April 14, Hopelynn Thompson finished in first place with a height of 2.44 meters, and on Thursday at East Newton, Corbin Rhoads finished in first with a height of 3.88 meters.

Cassville hosted its Cassville Wildcat Relays on Tuesday, with results not available at presstime. Full individual results from Clever and East Newton include:
