There will be a BBQ Cook-Off at The Gathering Place in Purdy on Oct. 18.

Children ages birth to 5 years old are invited to join Cassville schools for the Parents as Teachers (PAT) Fall Group Connection meeting on Oct. 23 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Rocky Edmondson Park.

Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) at Cassville High School will host a Fun Color Run on Oct. 11, with registration at 7 a.m. and the race at 8 a.m.

Are you registered to vote in Barry County? If you are not registered to vote in Barry County, Oct. 8 is the deadline to register to be eligible to vote in the Special Election on Nov. 4.

A Send Off Celebration will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Zone 4 Mini Golf and More, located at 16007 Hwy. 76 in Cassville, in honor of Caitlyn "Kitkat" Bonass.

Cassville Walmart will host a school supply drive on Saturday. Community members may “stuff the bus” with school supplies for Wildcat students and staff.
