Senior Dog Spotlight! Ward is a brindle Shepherd born about May 5, 2016. Ward has spent 9 years in the shelter and he truly deserves a loving home before winter arrives. He is a happy go lucky boy who is accustomed to leash walks and is crate trained. He does okay with other dogs, preferably older and larger in size. No cats preferably. He doesn’t like sharing food so would need to be fed separately. Ward knows commands, “sit,” “up,” and “shake.” There is nothing this boy won’t do for a treat. His ideal family will be gentle with him. He spent time in a foster home and does well with kids of all ages. Senior pet adoption rates are $25. Adopters can complete an application at www.havenoftheozarks. org/adopt. No appointment is needed. The Haven is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week. All Haven of the Ozarks pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped.

Meet beautiful Burrito! Burrito was found abandoned in the Cassville Walmart parking lot. So many people tried to help her, but she was still waiting for her person, who sadly never came back. Finally, one young lady offered her a burrito, and she got right in her car.

Meet sweet Jency. She is a mixed breed pup. Her DOB is 6/18/25. Sadly, Jency and her 4 siblings were dumped at an apartment complex. They are receiving the love and care they need now at the Haven, but they deserve a better life with their own family.

Haven of the Ozarks Pet of the Week
Flounder is an energetic, friendly girl. Her date of birth is is April 17, 2023. She is a hound mixed breed. She has lived with cats, dogs and kids and likes them all. She knows basic commands, likes car rides, likes the water, walks well on a leash and does good being groomed. Flounder needs a fenced yard or to live full time inside, otherwise she is a Girl On the Run. She would be a fabulous pet for an active family. Haven of the Ozarks is celebrating 30 years of love, stories and second chances! All adoptions in October are $30. Can’t adopt? Donate $30 at www.havenoftheozarks.org/donate.
