The first Cruise-In of the year for the Cassville Cruisers is set for Saturday from 5 p.m. to dusk at the Barry County Museum, located at 15858 State Hwy. 76 in Cassville.

The Cassville baseball team (3-3-1) picked up a pair of wins in three tries last week. The Wildcats defeated Purdy, 4-0, at home, then fell to Logan-Rogersville, 6-2, on the road, before ending the week with a 9-4 away win over Marionville.

Elks Lodge announces contest winners
The Elks Lodge 1042 in Holiday Island, Ark., has announced that three Cassville Intermediate students have placed in the top three entries for the Grand Lodge Americanism Essay Contest. Addison Myers finished in first place, Arianna Melchor earned second place and Jaelyn Cavness placed third. Students were asked to complete an essay answering the question, “What does patriotism mean to me.”
