Exeter completes comeback title win over Wheaton
Down by 7 early in the fourth quarter of the Friday’s Class 1, District 4 girls basketball championship against Wheaton, Exeter refused to give in, crafting an 18-point final frame to win the team’s first district title since 2012 with a 41-37 victory.

Cassville posted a 2-1 overall record, including a pair of Big 8 wins, in a three-game effort last week. The Lady Wildcats traveled to rival Monett on Feb. 2, where both teams entered the game at 13-5 and battled back and forth for three quarters before finally creating a little space in the final frame, going on to win the game 57-47.
Lady Trojans enter final stretch
With 14 wins and seven games left on the regular-season slate, the Southwest girls basketball team is setting its sights on a conference title and making some noise in a district with two more teams with as many wins.

The Cassville girls basketball team (13-5) had a one-game week last week due to weather and returned to Big 8 Conference play Thursday night with Seneca coming to town.
