Cassville schools detail pick-up processes

The Cassville school district has released information regarding pick-up processes at each lower school building. Vehicles form a single file line entering the circle drive that will run parallel to the front of the school building and down Kid Cat Drive (or 14th Street).

Denali, Synagro contest fertilizer board’s decision

Denali Water Solutions and Synagro Central, two of 19 companies denied fertilizer permits by the Missouri Fertilizer Control Board (MoFCB) for the land application of their processing waste, filed suit in Cole County Circuit Court in Jefferson City on July 28. In the suit, the petitioners are requesting judicial review of, and a declaratory judgment regarding what they allege was an abrupt change in the MoFCB’s interpretation of the Missouri Fertilizer Law in April, even though the Fertilizer Law had not been changed by legislature.

Cassville grad awarded JD Riddle scholarship

Jacob Martinez, a 2023 graduate of Cassville High School, has received the JD Riddle Educational Trust scholarship, administered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. Martinez, the son of Maria and Filipe Mendoza, will attend Missouri Southern State University this fall, where he plans to pursue a degree in secondary education.

In the Gospel of John chapter 13 and verse 35 Jesus says, “Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” I often ask my church if we, as Christians, are known to the world by our love or by what we are perceived as hating? I am pretty sure those who are not a part of the church today are really clear on the stuff we dislike, disagree with, or disapprove of. To a large extent what they fail to see is the love of Jesus in us for each other and for those who do not even like us or our Savior.

18 teachers join Cassville

The Cassville R-IV School District will welcome 18 new members to the Wildcat teaching staff and one new assistant principal during the 2023-2024 school year. New staff members have spent some time on campus this week learning about the district, meeting their coworkers, completing staff training and preparing for their students. The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce members provided welcome bags that were given to each new staff member during their first day of training.
