East Newton sweeps Holiday Tourneys
It was a patriotic four days of basketball at Southwest High School over the winter break, as East Newton’s boys and girls doubled up in tourney titles.
Cassville squads both 1-2 in Berryville
The Cassville boys and girls basketball teams both played in the Berryville Holiday Tournament in Arkansas last week, each posting 1-2 records after playing well in two games and struggling in their third.
Wrestling teams grapple in Diamond State Duals
The Cassville boys wrestling team took 19 wrestlers to the Diamond State Lady Invitational in Springdale, Ark., Jan. 2-3, coming home with nine medals and a third-place team finish among 17 squads. Full results include:
