The Monett school district has announced its 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame inductees.

Monett Nazarene Church, located at 2141 Hwy. 37, will host a Community Day Resource Fair on Thursday, July 10, from 5-7 p.m.
20 teams play in Monett World Cup Tournament
The Monett Soccer Club hosted the Monett World Cup Tournament in June for ages U8, U9, U10, U13 and adult. Twenty total teams competed in the two-day knockout tournament at Burl Fowler Stadium, with proceeds from the event benefitting the Club's fall season.
Annual Open House draws book lovers to Library
The Cassville Branch Library hosted its annual Open House on Saturday, inviting the public to visit the Library for free cookies, face painting, games and reading.

30 YEARS AGO: BALLOON GLOW — Over 2,000 attended Friday night’s balloon glow at the FASCO rounds. A horn blew and the pilots would blast not air into the balloons. The propane flame lit up the balloons against the night sky. The three hot air balloon races held on Saturday and Sunday also drew big crowds. Rides in the balloons seemed to be the coveted prize to win during weekend giveaways. People also had the opportunity to view the balloons up close and meet the pilots.
