My poor fins got worn to nubs on Saturday trying to get all the angles of the Cassville Christmas Parade on Saturday.

Santa divulges who is naughty and who is nice at parade
Santa Claus was on the final float at the Cassville Christmas Parade on Saturday, waving to children, offering Christmas greetings and even divulging who was on the nice list and who had some work to do. The Parade is sponsored by the Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce and had more than 100 entries.

Strength of schedule to prep ‘Cats for postseason
Two state medalists and a state qualifier return this year to the Cassville boys wrestling team, one which is growing in size and full of youth. With only one senior and 13 freshmen, the Wildcats are building a program hoping to contend for a team state title in coming years.

Cassville Library hosts ‘Santa and Friends’
With the hep of her mother, Tiffany Schroeder, of Cassville, 3-year-old Dallas Schroeder overcame her shyness to tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas this year. Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted many local children at the “Santa and Friends” event at the Cassville Branch Library on Saturday.

Virginia Lee Roller, age 98, of Aurora, Missouri passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at Cox Monett Hospital in Monett, Missouri. She was born April 18, 1925, in Garfield, Arkansas, the daughter of Ernest and Alpha (Taylor) Garrett.

Donna Kay (Hanby) Standlee
Donna Kay (Hanby) Standlee was born on February 26, 1940. Lovingly called “Mimi” by her grandchildren, Donna Kay passed away peacefully in her home in Golden, Missouri, on November 27, 2023. She was surrounded by her family, who – at the end of her days – took care of her after a year-long battle with colon cancer, as she had taken care of them all her life.
