Line ‘em up, let ‘em loose
The Cassville boys wrestling team made program history on Saturday, qualifying a record eight wrestlers for the Class 2 MSHSAA Wrestling Championships and winning a record three individual Class 2, District 3 titles.
Winchell wrestles up-weight to Class 1 state qualification
A total of 34 teams took part in the Class 1, District 3 girls wrestling tournament in Nevada on Friday and Saturday, and out of the 10 Lady Wildcats competing, one locked in a qualification to the Class 1 State Wrestling Championships Feb. 26-27 at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.

The Cassville boys wrestling team competed in a triad with Bolivar and Logan-Rogersville on Thursday, the final regular- season action before the Class 2, District 3 Tournament Feb. 21-22.

Wildcats take 2nd place at Seneca tourney
The Cassville boys wrestling team took second place out of 21 total teams competing in the 62nd People’s Bank of Seneca tournament on Saturday. Leading the way for the Wildcats was 165-pound Colton Roark, who took first place in his bracket by pinning all three of his opponents in the first round, including a pin in 19 seconds over one grappler.

4 Wildcats claim conference titles
The Cassville boys wrestling team turned in a 12-medal performance at the Big 8 Tournament on Friday, with four Wildcats standing atop the podium in first place. As a team, Cassville finished in second place behind Seneca, with 250 points to the Indians’ 292.5.

3 Lady ‘Cats take Big 8 gold
The Cassville girls wrestling team had 10 participants in the 6-team Big 8 Conference Championship in Monett on Jan. 22, three of whom returned home with gold medals.

‘Cats wrestle up classes in Branson
[email protected] he Cassville boys wrestling team is getting into the nitty-gritty of the season, coming off a sixthplace finish as the smallest school in the Branson Invitational and preparing for the Big 8 Conference meet this week and districts and state in February. Nathan Fortner, Cassville boys wrestling coach, said this season has been about progression, and the Wildcats have had no shortage of such.

All Missouri wrestling roads end at Mizzou Arena, and the Cassville girls wrestling team is eyeing a Big 8 title and multiple qualifiers to the Girls State Wrestling Championships Feb. 26-27.
