Compass Academy Network hosts graduation at Cassville location
Compass Academy Network (CAN) hosted its public graduation ceremony on Friday at the Cassville Performing Arts Center, celebrating the students’ achievements with families, educators and mentors.

Summer school students dig into learning
Sixty-five second-grade students and their teachers from Cassville summer school visited the Barry County Community Garden for a morning of hands-on activities focused on helping their community, growing food, healthy eating and the role of pollinators.

Novel study leads to lemonade stand, Haven donation
Third grade students participating in summer school recently completed a novel study of “The Lemonade War” by Jacqueline Davies. As part of the unit, students explored basic economic concepts such as supply and demand, marketing, and profit — all while learning how to run a small business.

Cassville student pens original children’s book, reads to summer school students
Kami Stough, incoming junior at Cassville High School, reads her published children’s book “ Just Water” to summer school students at the district on Wednesday. Stough crafter the book during a previous class assignment, and it was published through Amazon.
