O C the Quilts is a judged quilt show presented by the Ozark Country Quilters of Cassville/Monett. In addition to over 200 items displayed, there will be a quilt turning, demonstrations, vendors, boutique, opportunity quilt, special exhibits and knife/scissor sharpening.

Mercy Cassville has announced its new Emergency Room (ER) entrance will be open on March 3. The milestone represents continued progress in the ongoing facility construction and improvement efforts, a hospital press release said.

Cassville High School JAG students are stepping up to support local families in need by organizing a donation drive for Bright Futures. On Saturday at the Walmart Supercenter in Cassville, JAG students will be collecting items and monetary donations to help stock Bright Futures with essentials for students in the community.

The Cassville High School and Cassville Middle School Jazz Bands will host the annual Jazz Night on Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Cassville High School Performing Arts Center.

The Barry County Democratic Central Committee will meet on Feb. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Eagle Rock Fire Station.

The Barry County Genealogical and Historical Society book collection is now located at the Bayless/Salyer house on the corner of 9th and Townsend streets, behind the Post Office.

The Pioneer Road District Quarterly Meeting will be held on Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. at the Wheaton Volunteer Fire Department building, located at 407 E Hurlbut in Wheaton.
