There are different ways we can encourage business growth such as a TIF or a chapter 353 tax abatement. The city of Monett is currently working on both of these, I actually sat on the committee to set up the rules for their 353 plan. The commission and the cities and communities just need to set down and discuss what will work best for each community. My door is always open for a discussion.

I am running for re election because I care about the future of our county and want to help it to grow and thrive and be a place our kids and grandkids can find good jobs and be able to stay in Barry County and prosper. We can do that by focusing on economic development updating vital infrastructure and maintaining strict fiscal responsibility with our tax dollars.

Motoring for the memories
Brice and Carmen Stelik ride in the 2nd Annual Cassville Memories Cruise while their dog, Tucker Dale, enjoyed the sights and smells. The Cruise Saturday night raised more than $5,000, which will fund scholarships in 2025 open to students at Cassville, Southwest, Exeter, Wheaton and Purdy who are enroll vocational or technical school.
