Exeter trap wins conference awards

The Exeter trap team recently competed in its conference shoot, with two boys and two girls taking first and second. Jeremiah Reed placed first for the boys, and Star Xiong was first for the girls. In second place were Tristan Voyles for the boys and Lily Stephenson for the girls. Sales taxes rebound in October
After a sluggish September quarterly report, sales tax revenues to local municipal and county governments shot up in October, improving prospects for an end-of-the-end upswing. The seven Barry County cities collecting sales tax received $849,778.81, up 18 percent from a year ago.
Home for the holidays

As that most wonderful time of the year quickly approaches, I am reminded that there is no place quite like home for the holidays. I think of the many traditions, elaborate feasts, gift-giving and time spent with loved ones far and near.
