Sales tax sees slight drop in September
Barry County cities and county governments saw an overall dip in September sales tax figures compared to 2021, although five of the seven cities saw increases. It was the third comparative overall drop in the past five months.

The old American Legion building has been through many changes over the years, but the Army tank and monument on the grounds have always been a signal of the history it preserves. The new American Legion building rests behind the old building now, and in all the moving, the Army tank and monument were moved, too.

Scores for the Cassville girls golf team have been dropping in recent years, and the Lady Wildcats are loading a bus for Mountain Grove today to play in tomorrow’s district tournament, dialing in their rangefinder on qualifying the team to state. Cassville was brimming with confidence going into this week, not far removed from a firstplace team finish at the Cassville Tournament on Sept.
