Merlyn Johnson: Smooth start to school year

As we settle into the 2025–2026 academic year, I am pleased to report that the school year is off to a smooth and positive start across all of our Cassville R-IV campuses.
Captain Ronal (Ron) Hall

It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the death of Captain Ronal (Ron) Hall on September 13, 2025, at the age of sixty-nine following a courageous one-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Ron loved his family, friends, and life itself as shown through the strength and resilience he displayed in his fight to stay with us.

DOJ has not requested Barry County’s voting equipment
While the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has been reaching out to Missouri election officials requesting access to voting equipment used in the 2020 presidential election, Barry County Clerk Joyce Ennis said she has yet to be contacted.
