Elected road commissioners sworn in
Newly elected road commissioners were sworn in recently. The group enjoyed a meal catered by John Sullivan and sponsored by ESS (Emery Sapp and Sons), Springdale Tractor, ADS (Advanced Drainage Systems) and Viebrock. At the meeting with all road district commissioners, the Barry County commissioners discussed sunshine law, the bid process and the merger of the Shell Knob and Viola Road Districts.

8 injured in Exeter wreck
Eight individuals, including five juveniles, were injured on Friday in a wreck at 3:20 p.m. on Highway 76, one mile east of Exeter.
Barry County Sheriff’s Office calls for service and reports taken
April 22-28 The Barry County Sheriff's Office responded to 193 calls for service for the week of April 22-28. The CAD events created by central dispatch are the Calls for Service Barry County Officers respond to every day, included in those calls are alarms, assaults, burglaries, domestic disturbances, DWI's, stealing, harassment, medical issues, paper service, prisoner transports, suspicious persons, traffic stops and warrant service. Reports are not generated on all the calls for service. The following reports were generated from the above 193 calls:
