Prep athletics coaches commonly call their team a family, but the Cassville wrestling program is taking the mantra a little more literally. A total of eleven boys and girls wrestlers qualified for the 2023 MSHSAA Wrestling Championships, and more than half are related.
Plans underway for Barry County Youth Camp
One hundred local at-risk youngsters will have an opportunity to get outdoors and experience Mother Nature this summer at the Barry County Youth Camp thanks to the donations and contributions made by the community. This year’s camp is scheduled for May 30-June 3 at Camp Smokey at Roaring River State Park.
Shelter Insurance to award scholarship
This spring, the Shelter Insurance Foundation will award a $1,500 scholarship to a graduate of Cassville and Wheaton High Schools. Shelter Agent Terri Lynn DeGraffenreid Brattin sponsors and partially funds this scholarship.
