With Opening Day fast approaching, staff at Roaring River State Park is making progress to welcome thousands of guests over the trout fishing and camping season, completing numerous upgrades and adding activities for visitors to enjoy.

While they may be the face of the park and the object of desire for anyone with a rod and reel, anglers say when it comes to Opening Day at Roaring River State Park, it's not the fish they are necessarily after.
New concessionaire named
The winds of change are whipping through Roaring River State Park, as a new concessionaire has been awarded the state's contract. Roaring River Adventures LLC, a division of ExplorUS, a hospitality management company operating in parks across the country, will manage the lodging, dining, retail and meeting facilities at Roaring River State Park beginning this year.
Snow on the go at Roaring River State Park
Numerous deer could be found near the Roaring River Hatchery on Jan. 17, seeking out greens to eat amidst the melting snowfall from to days prior.
