Sales tax to Barry County cities and the county government took a big jump upward in May, with all but one of the seven cities topping totals from a year ago. 

For the third month in a row, sales tax revenues to cities in Barry and Lawrence counties have gone in opposing directions. 

Sales tax revenues disbursed to Barry County cities and county government entities took a sharp rebound in January, wiping out almost all the red ink seen in December. 

For the fifth time in six months, Barry County cities showed gains in sales tax revenues in November, and for the fourth time in six months, countywide taxes have also seen gains.
