The Cassville Backpack Program recently accepted a $6,600 donation from the Pythagoras Lodge No. 383 and Masonic Home in Cassville. The program helps students dealing with food insecurity by sending home nonperishable food items home with students for weekend or school breaks. The program serves the primary, intermediate and middle schools, and it is supported by local food drives, donations and grants.
