Area businesses cut ribbons
The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed Dyno Rock LLC as one of its newest members with a ribbon cutting ceremony held on April 23. Community members, Chamber representatives and guests gathered to celebrate the business and officially welcome them to the Cassville business community. Dyno Rock LLC offers a variety of bulk landscaping materials for projects of all sizes, helping homeowners and contractors with their outdoor and landscaping needs. Summer school students dig into learning
Sixty-five second-grade students and their teachers from Cassville summer school visited the Barry County Community Garden for a morning of hands-on activities focused on helping their community, growing food, healthy eating and the role of pollinators.
Wildcats call track season a success
Cassville boys track and field coach Clay Weldy said the Wildcats showed steady growth throughout the season, leading to what he considered a successful campaign.
Young Trojans grow with experience
Wrapping up a six-win season, Southwest baseball coach Derek Mann said the Trojans gained valuable experience throughout the spring, particularly among a young roster that will form the core of the program moving forward.

Painting up the pocket park
Cassville art student Lili Naugle paints a portion of the new mural being painted at the incoming pocket park where the former Hall Theatre stood in Cassville. Williams said the class aims to have the mural completed by the week of June 20.

Cassville man dies in sidewipe wreck
A Cassville man died in a wreck at 8:20 p.m. on May 25 on Farm Road 2020, one mile south of Cassville.
National Nursing Home Week celebrated
Pam Hall has recently joined the team at Cassville Healthcare and Rehab as the new Administrator of the facility, which celebrated National Nursing Home Week May 11-15 with residents, families and staff. This year’s theme as an “International Cruise” to bring fun, laughter and engagement to residents throughout the week. Residents received passports, participated in themed activities, enjoyed daily “Captains Announcements,” and traveled the world through music, decorations, food and fellowship.“
