Wildcats fall in last two games, host Seneca Friday

The Cassville girls basketball team completed a three game week, playing Monday at Forsyth, Tuesday at home against Springfield Catholic and Thursday at Pleasant Hope.

Man charged with kidnapping
A Washburn man is facing three felonies and a misdemeanor after allegedly breaking into a victim’s home, kidnapping and transporting the victim to another residence, then not allowing the victim to leave or call for help.
Weather spotting classes coming to Cassville, Monett
The Barry County Office of Emergency Management will host a pair of weather spotting classes on Feb. 7 and Feb. 24, aimed at informing not only first responders, but also the public, on how they can spot dangerous weather and what to do when it occurs.
9 pounds of meth found just west of county line
Two people were arrested on Jan. 13 following a McDonald County and Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team bust in Powell, just west of the Barry County line, that allegedly turned up nearly 9 pounds of methamphetamine.
