Sullivan, LeCompte families honored
This season, the Cassville Wildcat Football team will honor the memory of John Sullivan by wearing a gold "JS" sticker on the backs of their helmets. Sullivan was a lifelong contributor to Cassville Football. From his playing days in the 1960s, to the many Thursday night team meals he provided, and his years spent on the sidelines keeping stats, Sullivan was a huge part of not only the football program but the entire Cassville community. "We will never be able to thank John and his wife, Janet, enough for all they have done," a football program press release said. :John's presence is deeply missed throughout our community, but perhaps most of all, we'll miss that unforgettable 'John Sullivan chuckle.'" Cassville Athletic Director Lance Parnell, left. presented John's wife, Janet Sullivan, with a photo and helmet in his honor prior to the Aug. 28 home opener against Monett.
