Arkansas teen dies in crash
A Rogers, Ark., teenager died on Saturday in a wreck at 10:25 a.m. on Highway 76, four miles east of Cassville.

Captain Jack’s opening storefront
Captain Jack's, a food truck owned by Michael and Nemia Goade, has opened a storefront location at 494 Highway 76 in Cassville. The restaurant held a soft opening Monday and will be fully open on Friday. Hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays will feature brisket burgers, Wednesdays and Thursdays will feature fish, and Fridays will include the whole menu. News Briefs, Feb. 25
Mercy Cassville has announced its new Emergency Room (ER) entrance will be open on March 3. The milestone represents continued progress in the ongoing facility construction and improvement efforts, a hospital press release said.
County issues burn ban amid severe drought
The Barry County Commission has enacted a countywide burn ban, citing severe drought conditions and state statute authorizing the action.
