Voting at Cassville Democrat, The Monett Times websites Formerly the People’s Choice Awards, the Cassville Democrat’s and The Monett Times’ Best of the Best contests are now running, and voting has gone digital. CherryRoad has developed it own Best of the Best software to replace the People’s Choice this year.

Johnny Wayne Allred, age 67, of Purdy, Missouri passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022. Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 23, 2022, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Carolyn McNabb conducted the services. Burial was at Log Church Memorial Gardens in Butterfield.
William Chester Jordan
William Chester Jordan, age 83, of Seligman, Missouri passed away Thursday, September 22,2022. Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M.

Through the Years, Sept. 28
Oct. 4, 1972 County seat headquarters for the Democrat and Republican parties opened in Cassville the first week of October, with both parties saying the offices would remain open through the Nov.

The best laid plans
KISS Rebreathers set goal of 500foot spring dive The KISS Rebreathers dive team arrived at Roaring River Spring on Sept. 16 with the goal of diving to a 500-foot depth inside Roaring River spring the following morning before the Meet the Divers event scheduled for that afternoon.
