Dispensary makes donation to Haven of the Ozarks
Cassville Dispensary, a Missouri medical marijuana facility, recently donated over $500 of CBD pet treats to Haven of the Ozarks Animal Sanctuary, a local no-kill shelter. The dispensary partnered with the shelter to help aid aging and injured dogs in need of CBD by using all of the profits on pet products sold to purchase CBD to donate. Golf team donates to Pantry
The Cassville High School Golf program has made a donation of nearly $500 to the Cassville Food Pantry. CHS golfers earned the money at the “charity hole” during the team’s annual golf tournament that was held on April 30. “I’m grateful to work with these kids who willingly gave up part of their weekend to help others,” said Jay Rogers, Cassville head golf coach. “Thanks to the generosity of so many participants in our tournament, we were able to make the largest contribution we’ve ever made.” From left: Andrew Gray, Ean Pryor, Rogers, Chaney Cox, Janet Mills with the food pantry and Avery Chappell. LeCompte to compete at Nationals
Jillian LeCompte will travel to Louisville, Kentucky in June to compete in the 2022 National Speech and Debate Tournament along with 6,000 other students representing 1,500 school districts across the country.
Food Service Report: April 1-19
The Health Department divides food service code violations into two categories; Priority and Core items. Priority items are more likely than other violations to contribute to food contamination, or illness and/or injury.
School Fair comes back to Barry County
For more than two decades, the OACAC Barry County neighborhood center has been hosting a school fair to help children in the area start off the school year on the right foot. Gail Reed, OACAC Barry County neighborhood market supervisor, said the sign-ups for the school fair will be open from May 31 to July 7.
