Billie Ruth Stevens, 84, of Cassville, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022, in Broomfield, Colo. She was born Aug.

BENNY LEROY “ROY” ROACH
Benny Leroy “Roy” Roach, 90, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022. He was born in Estherville, Iowa, to Benny Thomas Roach and Ruth (Rogers) Roach. He was active in high school sports, and after graduation, joined the National Guard. He married in 1948, and they had five children. He was a heavy equipment operator.
Michele “Morris” Hovland
Michele (Morris) Hovland was born Nov. 6, 1960, in Ventura, Calif., the daughter of Chuck and Carolyn (Williams) Morris. She attended Cassville High School. After graduating she attended SMSU/MSU obtaining a Bachelor of Arts, Master’s of Education, Master’s of Counseling and a Master’s of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Penn. She was united in marriage to Russell Melton who preceded her in death in 2001. In 2009, she was united in marriage to her current husband Chief Warrant Officer 3 (Ret) Darrell Hovland. They ran a farm in Jenkins, where they raised their beautiful daughter Charley.

People need to be fair and acknowledge the traits of their dogs, because, remember — they are man’s best friend. In my adult years, my preferences had switched from a Pointer preference, because that was the one available, to that of English Setters, which in my opinion are among the most loving breeds of animals on this earth.

My wife is on a Teen Mom 2 kick. It happens once or twice a year, and I tolerate the show because hey, happy wife, happy life, right? In her latest binge session over last weekend, I heard through my peripherals that one of the stars of the show, Jenelle Evans, recently had an abortion.
