New Crowder College to open Aug. 24 (06/25/09)
Crowder College will begin moving into the new Cassville Center on Business 37 this summer. The college will officially take possession of the new campus on Aug. 1, and classes are scheduled to begin at the center on Aug. 24. "Right now the big thing is timing the move of the technology and phone systems," said Angela Seymour, Crowder College Cassville Center director. "We want to move the system with as little down time as possible."...

Recycling industry to open local warehouse (06/25/09)
MARCK Industries, Inc., which offers a variety of recycling services, plans to open a new warehouse on Sale Barn Road in Cassville this year. The 36,000-square-foot facility will be used to store and process recyclable products. "The warehouse will be used for some recycling activities, but mostly as a storage facility for recycling materials," said Berlan Crouch, MARCK Industries chief financial officer. "The most common materials that will be stored at the facility will be paper products."...
