Three Cassville men have been arrested as a result of a burglary at a residence near Mineral Springs. On Nov. 19 Deputy Lynn Scott with the Barry County Sheriff's Department responded to the residence in reference to a reported burglary. Later that same day, authorities with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Barry County Sheriff's Department went to a nearby residence and arrested a subject on a felony warrant...

Cassville Wildcats claim second consecutive state football title

The trip to St. Louis seemed like a long one, and even though it was exciting to watch the Hamilton Hornets beat the Valle Catholic Warriors in a tough 17-21 match, it seemed like an eternity before the Wildcats took to the Edward Jones Dome field on Saturday. Jerry Dean Brockmueller, 64, of Jenkins, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, in St. John's Hospital, Cassville. Dorothy Weidner, 93, of Shell Knob, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield. She was born Oct. 14, 1916, in Racine, Wis., the daughter of William Keller and Elsie (Staaden) Keller. She was united in marriage in 1935, in Racine, Wis., to Kenneth Weidner, who preceded her in death in 1944. She was also preceded in death by one son, one great-granddaughter and one brother...
