Spring cleaning opportunities coming to locals
It’s that time of year again — yard sale season. Each spring, local communities set dates for city wide yard sales and city wide cleanup to aid in the spring cleaning activities.

Season’s first Cruise-In coming up The Cassville Cruisers will host a Cruise-In on May 14 from 5 p.m. to dusk at the Barry County Museum, south of Cassville on Highway 112.
The river is alive with the sound of music
Continuing a summer tradition in Roaring River State Park, a variety of Bluegrass bands will be performing every Friday night from May 6 to Sept. 30.
Docudrama shows consequences of drunk driving
Taylor Smith is removed from a vehicle after a staged crash on the south lawn of Cassville High School on Friday. Multiple students and local first responders put on the docudrama, aiming to show the possible consequences of driving drunk or not wearing a seat belt. Hall Theatre a total loss
That was the prognosis of Chuck Miner, Cassville Fire Protection District administrator, the day after a morning fire gutted the property at the northwest corner of the Cassville square. The call came in at about 7:30 a.m., and within about 10 minutes, the District’s ladder truck was on the scene.
