Lady Eagles downed in sectional

The Purdy softball team saw its season end on May 21 in the sectional round of the Class 1 State Tournament. The Lady Eagles fell to Lockwood at home, 8-0. Purdy finishes the season as Class 1, District 5 champions with a record of 20-8.

Purdy sophomore competes at state track

Purdy sophomore Lizett Aldava took 16th place at the Class 2 MSHSAA State Track and Field Championships on Saturday in Jefferson City. Aldava best throw was 9.05 meters on her third attempt. The winner threw for 12.34 meters.

Wheaton senior throws at state

Wheaton senior Jacob Bittle threw in the Class 1 MSHSAA State Track and Field Championships on Friday in Jefferson City, taking 15th place. Bittle’s second toss was his best at 12.21 meters. The winner threw for 15.09 meters.

Exeter senior competes in Class 1 championships

Exeter senior Kaylyn Weiser took 16th place in the triple jump at the Class 1 MSHSAA State Track and Field Championships on Saturday in Jefferson City. Weiser logged a jump of 8.87 meters on her second attempt. The winner jumped 11.14 meters.
