Spring cleaning opportunities coming to locals
It’s that time of year again — yard sale season. Each spring, local communities set dates for city wide yard sales and city wide cleanup to aid in the spring cleaning activities.

GEARS Who: Cassville School District What: Gifted program More: Bright versus Gifted children Every child is exceptional in his or her own way, but the Cassville school district, like many others, has a program designed for those children who are not just bright, but gifted. Gears is taught by Lisa Reid, who took over the program this year.

Through the Years
50 years ago May 10, 1972 Cassville United Methodist Church pastor, Harold Hunter, who has been with the Cassville church for the past six years, has been granted retired status by the Missouri West Annual Conference of United Methodist Churches. The highest music award presented to a Cassville High School senior, the John Philip Sousa award, went to Jim Justus during the spring concert Tuesday night.

It’s a pirate’s life for SKITS
In SKITS’ production of “Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen” on April 22, Sarah Huffington, played by Heather Andres, pines for a pirate husband instead of her likely fiancé, Roger Goodman, played by Andy Miller.
