Cassville turns in back-to-back .500 seasons
For two years in a row, the Cassville girls basketball team has been at exactly .500, and with a few key pieces graduating this year, the team aims to keep pace in coming seasons. Clayton Bagby, Cassville girls basketball coach, said when he started the job last summer, goals were tough to set.

Cassville girls soccer team keeping chemistry strong A pride point for the Cassville girls soccer team is the chemistry between members, built over five years of positive reinforcement and allowing the team to reload with multiple starters and a full team of letterwinners returning. Jake Forste, Cassville soccer coach, said the Lady Wildcats, coming off a 9-14 season last year, hope to play to their strengths this season.

One to remember
When it comes to reaching goals, the Southwest boys basketball team has few regrets this season. The Class 3, District 12 champions, for the first time in 57 years, and Southwest Holiday Tournament champions turned in a 21-8 season filled with excitement and celebration.

Wheaton grows with size challenge
ktroutman@cassville-democrat.com The tallest Wheaton girls basketball player this season was only 5-4, but the Lady Bulldogs did not let age or size challenges squash their growth on the court this season. Finishing at 5-22, Wheaton Coach Jessica Dermott said a squad of only seven players, three of whom were freshmen, met many individual goals and continued to improve through the season.
